Oh my goodness I've been busy !
Very sorry i've been away for an awfully long time. University has been all deadlines and christmas got massively in the way too! Hoping to post more now we are in the New Year and lots of exciting things are about to happen!
To kick of the New Year I proudly introduce you to this fabulous dress by Ark.
The reason i have chosen this dress to be Buy of the Week (Look forward to one of these every thursday) is its sheer versatility. Nothing says 2014 like a girlish pastel colour, be that baby pink or orchid purple. This baby's on trend colour pallet will see you right through to summer, and at a bargain price of £29.99 you can not go wrong! Maybe wear it with some cute pattern tights for the moment, whilst it still feels like Antarctica outside.

Time to talk investment guys.
Okay a true investment is not something that costs £50 and you can wear it until next year. Thats Topshop ripping you off.
A real investment is something you buy once in a lifetime and will never have to replace, will never go out of style, and will go with bloody everything!
I hear some of you scream 'Oh no, its going to be a Burberry trench' Well oh contrair!
I'm not talking breaking the bank massively, im talking save for a couple of months (no like seriously 3 at most) and being proud of what you have bought because it will last 10 years, min.
This is my star investment of the month.
This jacket is from M&S Autograph range and sits at a very comfortable £249.00
Can you wear this with everything? Yes.
Will it go out of fashion? Its a red leather jacket it will always be edgy as hell.
Will it last forever? Its from M&S there are tanks built with less life time assurance.
I know, i know, you can get one cheaper in Bank, however it will never be as beautifully made of survive the harsh winters of the UK as well as this one will. M&S is a true British gem of a shop where quality meets classic style. This jacket is well worth the money and more.
And just think Christmas is round the corner guys, get those letters to Santa in now ;)

Today on 1st September I wore a Hogwarts T-shirt.... and that is all the fashion news you are getting today!
Hope a few of theses tips help, think of all the money you've saved after that can go towards new hot pants!
I know i am a fashion blog, but i feel it essential to talk about other aspects of student saving! Its September the first and whilst the wizards of the country are heading to Kings cross to get on the Hogwarts Express, we students are heading to ikea to get yet another frying pan (and other house hold things) because for some reason our student halls ate them last year. Term is about to start and you realise you don't have a cheese grater, however your student loan has not yet come in. Hmmmm. The usual response is to guilt trip the parents, however even here saving money is so important. Most students as stated before head to Ikea, but be conscious of when your areas Ikea student events are, check websites and ask in store for an idea of when these will be coming up. Most are throughout September and most stores are having more than one. Offers on house hold supplies such as pots and pans are available as well as great savings on desks and desk chairs. You may not sit on said chair to actually do work but they make great coat hangers and they give your parents the right impression.
Moving away from the typical Ikea trip, it is defiantly worth checking out Aldi. Yes i know im a cheapo but for good value supplies that (from experience) do last, go! Today I purchased a set of two saucepans one large, one medium, both in a very attractive cobalt blue (they do have other colours) both with lids for a total of £8.99. I bought this set last year in pink and they survived many a freshers disaster, so we will go with they are hard wearing! Oddly enough i also purchased a pink stripped bath mat for £4.99 which turned out to be much better quality, than more expensive and less attractive ones in Ikea. I always make sure Aldi is my first stop for uni kitchen and bathroom supplies, it is 100% worth dropping in.
Of course you should stop buy any local super market for appliances such a kettles and toasters. They usually do the best bargains such as the Tesco £5 toaster. Brilliant for freshers who dont want anything valuable left in the dreaded shared kitchen. This toaster will survive anything and will become your life saver at the end of a night out.
Hope a few of theses tips help, think of all the money you've saved after that can go towards new hot pants!

Victoria Secrets Manchester
So in my travels (And rather naughty trip to the Trafford Centre) my excitement levels rose around 200% when i saw the new Victoria Secrets branch. One of only 3 in England and needless to say i got a bit hysterical. For the last 6 months id been passing the 'Opening Soon' billboards and cursing my heritage because i don't look like one of the Angels smiling off them.
So today as i skipped in, i entered the PINK section first. Fun and flirty as always and i wanted to buy everything. Was slightly disappointed with the main Victoria Secret section as it appeared dark, more like a den of iniquity than the usual frothy angelic shop floor I'm accustomed to with Victoria Secrets, but well.... what ever floats the creative directors boat.
The stock for both sections was of such tempting design i nearly cried at one point over a bra. A caution for customers who have bought VS in America in the past it is around £20 more expensive. Gutting i know but hey im a sucker for lace and sparkles so i was going to crumble.
Sizes were also a bit of a concern, I never have trouble finding a Bra in my size. Fitting at the bottom end of big, shops like Bravissimo are available to me as well as standard high street fitters, so i was rather shocked to see that PINK did not stock a 32 D in a bra i wanted. Not only that but they didnt stock anything passed a B in 32 band and nothing passed a D in 34 and 36 ( Bit of a scrounge on band sizes too guys) This wasn't the case for all bras, many offered more range, however all seemed rather size limited.
Luckily my sister size of a 34C was available so i was much happier again and treated my self to a bit of glam.
Which leeds me to rule number 1: Allow yourself to splurge (If you don't you will hate life and everything you own will last about 3 washes)
Invest in quality. It will last longer and will save you drinks money in the long run!
